On this Rascal + Thorn culinary insights tour we explore the cuisine of Northern Italy.  From truffles to parmigiano to balsamic and more, Northern Italian product is superb.  Our tour visits some of the best dining to be had from Modena to Alba.

Restaurants included are Osteria Francescana, Piazza Duomo, Mirazur, Dal Pescatore, Tokuyoshi, Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia, and many others.

Historical Sights

The area we are visiting is full of historical sightseeing.  We will visit the Last Supper in Milano, an exhibition on Madness in Lago di Garda, a castle near Alba overlooking the Barolo vineyards and the Egyptian Museum in Torino.

Thursday, November 9 Day 2, Milano – morning city tour and visit to Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie to see The Last Supper, Lunch at Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia, we leave for Modena for 2 nights, dinner in the evening (B,L,D)
Friday, November 10 Day 3, Modena – morning market tour in Modena, lunch at Osteria Francescana, tour of a balsamico producer, light dinner (B,L,D)
Saturday, November 11 Day 4, We leave Modena for 1 night in Lake Garda, tour of parmigiano producer, light lunch near Parma, dinner at Lido 84 (B,L,D)
