Colorado Whiskey
As many Bourbon and Rye lovers know, the good stuff is not just coming from Kentucky anymore! Colorado has been a pioneer in the craft brewing renaissance over the past few decades, and it makes sense that now they are shining as one of the top whiskey-producing states in the country. They have good grains, a unique climate, and a drive to put a Colorado spin on your classic Bourbon. But what is Colorado really known for? Winter, mountains, and skiing! This trip will offer the best of both worlds for mountain and whiskey enthusiasts.
Distilleries to be visited include Stranahan’s, Breckenridge, Distillery 291, Talnua, LAWS and Leopold Brothers! All different styles with a true Colorado identity.
Epic Skiing
This week-long trip will start and end in Denver, where you will visit some of the established and top up-and-coming distilleries. Then, we’ll head west to hit the slopes with some of the bottles we secured during our distillery visits and focus on the mountains. We will be staying in the heart of the Breckenridge Village with shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Included is a very special experience at Breckenridge Distillery, featuring a private tasting and dinner combining both skiing and whisky.
All levels of skiing available at these resorts, including groomed trails, backcountry and cat skiing. Optional private guide services if desired.
Your Guide!
Holly Seidewand, co-owner of First Fill Spirits and an avid skier, has wanted to merge her two passions of whiskey and powder for many years. She has skied all over the country and visited many distilleries throughout Colorado.
You’re in great hands with Holly! The experiences will be next level with her connections and enthusiasm.
