Distillery Visits
Scotland + Islay = Distilleries! The purpose of this whisky adventure is to visit all 9 distilleries on Islay over a 5-night stay on the island. We will also stay 3 nights in Glasgow.
On this tour we will visit Lagavulin, Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Laphroaig, Bunnahabhain, Kilchoman, Bowmore, Ardnahoe and Bruichladdich. We will do premium tours, warehouse tastings and learn everything about the special whisky of Islay.
Unique Excursions
Excursions on this tour include some fun whisky-related activities including cutting peat, walking to the water source at Laphroaig, playing in the malted barley at Bowmore, and strolling on some of the famous beaches.
In Glasgow, we do a historical walking tour in the heart of the city as well as many whisky bar and shop visits.
The Island
The island of Islay is a magical place. Once you are there, everything starts to unwind. And we’re not talking just whisky! It’s beautiful and charming. There is fresh seafood and everyone waves at you.
Getting to Islay is part of the whole experience. Going by ferry makes for a great journey. To see Islay and Jura across the water makes for a special day.
Saturday – Arrive in Glasgow for a 1-night stay. Walking Tour of Glasgow in the afternoon.
Sunday – After breakfast at the hotel, we take the bus to Kennecraig to catch the ferry to Islay. Upon arriving in Bowmore we settle in the hotel for a 5-night stay.
Monday – Morning tour and warehouse tasting at Lagavulin. Lunch at the Ardebeg Cafe followed by a tour and warehouse tasting at Ardbeg. Dinner in Port Ellen.
Tuesday – Morning chocolate and whisky tasting at Caol Ila. Water to Whisky Tour at Laphroaig that includes a picnic lunch at the water source, peat cutting and a warehouse tasting.
Wednesday – Morning tour and warehouse tasting at Bunnahabhain. Lunch at the Kilchoman followed by a tour and tasting.
Thursday – Morning tour and warehouse tasting at Bowmore. Afternoon tour and tasting at Bruichladdich.
Friday – Morning visit to Ardnahoe before leaving Islay back to Glasgow for 2 nights.
Saturday – Free day in Glasgow to explore. Optional day trip tour to Glengoyne.
Sunday – Departure from Glasgow back to the US

A deposit of $495 is due to secure a place on the trip. Reservations are taken on a first-come / first-serve basis.
Single Supplement $800
Final payment is due 60 days prior to the start of the tour.
