Distillery Visits
Rascal + Thorn is working with local experts in Japan to get in-depth distillery visits and tastings. We plan to visit many of the important Japanese distilleries that are known worldwide as well as smaller distilleries with product only found in Japan.
On this tour we will visit Yamazaki, Hakushu, Nikka, Ichiro’s Malt, Yoichi and others.
Whisky Bars
One of the main excursions on this trip is visiting the various whisky bars found in Tokyo and other cities. It is at these whisky bars that our guests will be able to try unknown whiskies and rare Japanese malt.
Our local Japan experts have the inside scoop on where to go and what to look for.
Great Dining
You can’t go to Japan and not have great food! Rascal + Thorn is known for finding some of the best cuisine on the planet. Tokyo is a hot spot right now and we can’t wait to bring our guests to some of the special spots there and in other cities.
Food will be a highlight for sure!

Tuesday, November 6 – Bullet train to Kyoto for 4 nights, whisky bars in Kyoto
Wednesday, November 7 – Day Trip to Suntory Yamazaki Distillery, whisky bars in Umeda
Thursday, November 8 – Day Trip to Eigashima Akashi Distillery, whisky bars in Kobe
Friday, November 9 – Free day of sightseeing in Kyoto, whisky bars in Kyoto
Saturday, November 10 – Day-trip to Suntory Hakushu Distillery, one night in Kiyosato, whisky bar in Kiyosato
Sunday, November 11 – Day Trip to Mars Shinshu Distillery, one night in Tokyo, whisky bar in Nakano
Monday, November 12 – Morning sightseeing in Tokyo, afternoon flight to Sapporo for two nights, whisky bar in Sapporo

Wednesday, November 14 – Return to Tokyo to connect with flight back to USA

Single Supplement is available if a single does not want to share a room. The single supplement cost is an additional $800.
