Jas Saw

Jas, aka Tonight’s Poison, will be our special co-leader on this Rascal + Thorn Whisky Tour of Japan. Jas’ passion for whisky and the whisky community is ever-growing (see him on Instagram: @tonightspoison), and we are very excited to bring him and our guests to Japan to show them what Japanese whisky is all about.

This tour will focus on the distilleries that make Japanese whisky, cultural highlights in Tokyo, Kyoto and beyond, and the food and whisky bars that round out such a fun Japanese whisky experience.

Distillery Visits

Rascal + Thorn works with local experts in Japan to get in-depth distillery visits and tastings.  We plan to visit many of the important Japanese distilleries that are known worldwide as well as smaller distilleries with product only found in Japan.

On this tour we will visit Yamazaki, Hakushu, Miyagikyo, Chichibu, Akashi Eigashima and others. Each distillery is unique and offers tasting opportunities that you don’t get anywhere else in the world.

Whisky Bars

Japanese whisky bars are in a world unto themselves. Filled with whisky from all over the world, they truly have more expressions to try than most bars around the world. From Japanese to Scotch whisky, to Bourbon and others, the Japanese whisky bar experience is a highlight of any trip to Japan.

Our local Japan experts have the inside scoop on where to go and what to look for.
