Mauro Maccioni, whose family hails from Montecatini, introduces us to some of the best restaurants and dining experiences in the Tuscany area. On this culinary insights tour we get behind the scenes to see how Mauro’s family and mother, Egi Maccioni, and local chefs use the product that makes Italy such a gastronomic destination.
Our excursions in the Tuscany area are very special. Some of the excursions include a parmiggiano tour and a meat-handling workshop at the world-renowned Dario Cecchini’s Antica Macelleria Cecchini with lunch. We will also have a cooking class and dinner party led by Mauro’s mother, Egi Maccioni.
The excursions for this trip create a nice balance between the incredible product of Italy and the cultural and historical elements that shape it. Wineries, museums and great dining!
